The Quality Engineer is essential to the building of new Marco’s platform operation and ensures the success and compliance of software development. You will focus on the value-added activity to the engineering design in an agile way for solid design quality and its release. A good opportunity for someone with great attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures.
  • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
  • Identify, analyze, and document problems with program function, output, online screen, or content.
  • Develop testing programs that address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability.
  • Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
  • Document test procedures to ensure replicability and compliance with standards.
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

  • 5+ years’ experience testing commercial software through full release cycles
  • Familiar with software development related tools, i.e., JIRA, EA, QAC, etc.
  • Passion for software quality and bug sleuthing
  • Familiarity with automated testing concepts and tools
  • An affinity to work in a dynamic environment and execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • A preference for proactive communication across a matrixed organization
  • Be a constant learner

Pluses: 

  • Worked in a high-growth start-up with experience of going from 0 to 1 or starting at code level zero.
  • Experience in FinTech, risk and underwriting platforms.
  • Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud providers.
  • Degree in computer science or related field
