As a Design Engineer you will have to design, concept, prototype, and build new experiences. You’ll create design systems, new components in our libraries, craft individual experiences or animations that distill a complex topic into a simple concept, among all things UI/UX and a design ethos for a growing startup.
You’ll constantly have in-browser performance and responsiveness in mind and create abstractions that other designers and engineers consume and build upon. You will sometimes work on very broadly defined, loose concepts, and sometimes on narrowly defined, tactical deliverables.
This is an opportunity to focus on what you do best — whether that’s sketches, wireframes, prototypes, designs, or code—and you’ll have the opportunity to sharpen the skills you’re looking to develop and learn and pick up more skills. You will work in a highly collaborative fashion with the design, product, and project teams.
Main responsibility will be to Design, Maintain and Extend our design systems
Work in highly collaborative fashion with product managers, engineers, sales, and UX research to define both long-term strategy and short-term tactics
Design early product concepts and partner with UX researchers to quickly field test concepts with end users
Contribute to product growth through experimentation and optimization of existing user journeys
Support the Product Marketing team with product visuals to support the growth & adoption strategy
3+ years of relevant experience at a tech-forward, product-driven company
Advanced knowledge of modern HTML and CSS
Have a deep understanding of developer’s needs, through either your own experience writing code or working closely with others who write code.
Value working with a diverse group of people with different perspectives and expertise.
Are skilled in explaining your work, process, and decisions to cross-functional stakeholders and crave feedback to help you produce your best work
Love learning new skills and tools, working with other designers to help them learn and grow and have them help you learn and grow
The LATAM team is a key component to the company global strategy in the Latin American market. Their mission is to reduce the barriers faced by small and medium businesses by abstracting away the complexities of pricing risk and accessing liquidity. The LATAM team is responsible for building the technological products & infrastructure needed to launch new markets and process deals successfully throughout Latin America.
