QA AUTOMATION (Uruguay)
SUSPENDIDO Responsibilities:
- Enhance and maintain existing test automation scripts to ensure alignment with ongoing software development initiatives.
- Develop robust new test automation scripts to accommodate new features or improvements in our software products.
- Collaborate closely with developers, QA engineers, and product managers to understand requirements and devise comprehensive test cases.
- Execute automated test scripts and meticulously analyze results to pinpoint defects and areas for refinement.
- Conduct thorough deep dives into pre-existing code as needed to create new methods or functions for effective test script development.
- Champion the DRY (Don't Repeat Yourself) principle to ensure efficiency and maintainability in test automation code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test automation scripts in a timely manner.
- Adhere to version control best practices, particularly in Git, and employ effective branching strategies.
- Report status of assigned tasks and deliverables to client lead and Razorvision project manager on a regular and timely basis.
- Escalate issues and/or blockers to client lead and Razorvision project manager on a regular and timely basis.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in test automation using Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, and Java.
- Advanced proficiency in Java programming with a comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and techniques.
- Strong familiarity with frontend and backend testing methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct in-depth analysis of pre-existing code to develop new methods or functions for test automation.
- Thorough understanding and application of the DRY principle.
- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, and adeptness in branching strategies.
- Seasoned in the use of Jira
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with acute attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate seamlessly within cross-functional teams.
- Proven self-motivation and a commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with other test automation tools and frameworks, such as Cucumber, JUnit, TestNG, or Appium.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools, such as Jenkins or Travis CI.
- Proficiency in Agile development methodologies and practices.
- Certification in software testing or test automation (e.g., ISTQB, Selenium WebDriver).
