We are seeking an experienced and people-focused Engineering Manager to build and lead a nearshore cross-functional team of Software Engineers, SDETs, AI/ML Engineer and Scrum Master. In this role, you'll act as a critical connector between our nearshore development group and US-based product and engineering teams. You’ll drive execution, support team growth, and ensure alignment with company objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities
Act as a local leader for the nearshore group, supporting recruitment, onboarding, team building, and career development.
Collaborate closely with US-based squads and stakeholders, aligning technical work with product roadmaps, business goals, and company priorities.
Drive execution: Set clear goals, ensuring teams stay focused, unblock issues and ensure on-time delivery of high-quality solutions.
Support Scrum Masters and agile practices, helping the team stay efficient, focused, and outcome-oriented.
Promote quality and reliability, enabling strong test automation, CI/CD, and observability practices across the team.
Mentor and grow team members across engineering and delivery roles, providing regular feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Encourage innovation and continuous learning, empowering the team to explore new ideas and technologies.
Facilitate clear and proactive communication between nearshore and US teams, helping bridge time zones, cultures, and expectations.
Represent the team in engineering and product leadership forums, providing visibility into progress, risks, and needs.
3-5+ years in a leadership or people management role with cross-functional teams in a distributed or nearshore setting.
Strong understanding of agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Proven ability to align engineering efforts with business goals and partner effectively with product and US-based teams.
Demonstrated success in coaching and developing engineering talent across roles and career stages.
Solid knowledge of modern development practices, testing strategies, CI/CD, and cloud-based systems (tech stack flexible).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with fluency in English (verbal and written).
