As a Professional Services Engineer, you’ll take the lead in delivering exceptional technical solutions for our clients, specializing in PTC Windchill and related CAD environments. You’ll bring strategic insight and technical depth to troubleshoot application issues, improve system understanding across teams through documentation and presentations, and guide others through complex concepts with clarity and precision.
You’ll take full ownership of assigned issues and initiatives, drive documentation excellence, and serve as a trusted technical advisor within your areas of expertise — both internally and externally.

Technical Guidance & Troubleshooting

  • Serve as a technical lead for PTC Windchill implementations, configurations, and support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-level issues, particularly in Windchill and other CAD tools.
  • Translate intricate systems and technical processes into clear diagrams, workflows, flowcharts, and step-by-step procedures.
  • Act as a knowledge bridge between engineers, IT teams, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Rapidly ramp up on client-specific systems and engineering tools using vendor resources, internal knowledge bases, and mentorship.

Documentation Excellence

  • Review, refine, and author technical documentation to a high standard of accuracy, clarity, and maintainability.

Client Experience

  • Fully own assigned issues from intake through resolution:

o Set and manage client expectations.
o Communicate frequently with requestors and listen actively to feedback.
o Identify blockers, coordinate resolution steps, and deliver results with minimal friction.
o Prioritize Customer Satisfaction

Subject Matter Expertise & Growth

  • Act as Primary Subject Matter Expert in PTC Windchill
  • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to colleagues
  • Provide effort estimates, risk assessments, and input during project planning.
  • Own and evolve documentation in your domain of expertise

  • Proven expertise in PTC Windchill as an admin, implementer, or advanced power user.
  • Strong experience in troubleshooting application issues within engineering environments.
  • Exceptional written communication, including the ability to create user-friendly documentation, workflows, and support guides.
  • A proactive, self-driven approach to learning new tools and systems.
  • Consistent track record of resolving and owning issues end-to-end and delivering value to clients.

Preferred: 

  • Experience with other PTC applications
  • Knowledge of other CAD tools (e.g., Dassault Solidworks, Solidworks PDM) a plus.
  • Familiarity with engineering or Lamp;D environments in aerospace, automotive, medical devices, or manufacturing.
  • Background in technical consulting, client-facing engineering support, or IT project delivery.

  • You will be part of a high performing Tech team. Joining the Application Management department. 
  • Contractor in USD.
  • 100% remote.
