SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Python)

We are looking for engineers to develop new features and systems for the company platforms and services coordinating across disciplines with product, operation, credit, business development and other engineers. In this role you will deliver solutions that align to the end user as a member of a highly autonomous team.Your contributions will include design and delivery of cloud deployable microservice solutions, as well as platform components.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Write well-designed, testable code
  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility
  • Document and maintain software functionality
  • Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade existing systems
  • Comply with project plans and industry standards
  • Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures Integrate software components into a fully functional software system

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience in enterprise level software development.
  • Experience in mid-tier programming languages (e.g. Python, C++) and the Java/J2EE platform
  • Knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB)
  • Understanding of clean, modular and scalable API design
  • Detail oriented and in constant pursuit of accuracy and design excellence
  • Strong sense of personal responsibility and strive for continual self-improvement.
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude

Pluses:

  • Worked in a high-growth start-up with experience of going from 0 to 1 or starting at code level zero.
  • Experience in building FinTech, risk and underwriting platforms.
  • Knowledge of AWS or similar cloud providers.
  • Degree in computer science or related field
