The Data Extraction Specialist is an integral part of our implementation team. This fully remote position will virtually manage multiple data conversions at a time as part of greater software installation projects within our recreation dealerships. An Extraction Specialist is responsible for coordinating multiple aspects of data conversions, which may include conversion consultation and planning; data cleanup; test conversions; conversion execution; data pulls from customer systems; coordinating data timelines; and ensuring dealers and conversion specialists are held accountable to data requirements. We are seeking individuals with DMS data experience who can multi-task, utilize critical thinking skills to assess urgent situations; create their own processes; work independently; use professional but assertive measures to gather necessary information; and have the ability to learn and navigate our software, including web-based applications and web-based themes. Prior tech experience is not required, just the capability and interest of learning.

What you’ll do:

  • Setting expectations internally and externally for data conversion experiences.
  • Consults on methods to convert data as cleanly, accurately, and quickly as possible.
  • Perform data extraction from Dealer’s previous DMS.
  • Perform data cleanup tasks within Excel, CSV, TXT, and other data formats.
  • Balance dealer data before and after conversion.
  • Performs data-related user acceptance testing with dealers.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the field of how data conversion impacts the usage of Lightspeed by our dealers and share best practices for moving forward.

  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Fluency in English
  • Microsoft Office expert (especially Excel).
  • Experience writing SQL scripts is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to learn web-based software and applications.
  • Must be able to work some weekends and after hours in our peak season of January - April.
  • Dealership experience is preferred. Recreational dealership is a ++.
  • Critical Thinking.
  • Work independently and problem-solve.
  • Assess situations and prioritize which project requires immediate attention.
  • Multi-task and able to work on multiple projects at a time.
  • Able to be professional, but assertive in order to gather necessary information from dealerships.
