We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer In Testing (SW QA Engineer) to join our WPC Team in our Montevideo office. We are a highly collaborative group of professional Software Engineers working in an Agile environment. Our team develops enterprise software that enhances the client products. This individual would be accountable for the quality of the product; developing test plans and executing test strategies to ensure quality releases. The candidate must demonstrate good analytical abilities, verbal and written English communication skills, and attention to detail. They would also have excellent leadership and automation as well as manual testng skills.
An individual in this role may have the following responsibilities:

  • Work closely with developers to design and deliver product functionality
  • Develop and execute test strategies to ensure quality releases
  • Responsible and  accountable for the quality of the product for the project
  • Write and maintain UI, API and DB Test Automation that span from planning to delivery to maintenance of a feature
  • Break down requirements and user scenarios into test scenarios and test cases
  • Contribute to estimation of work and create test plan that aligns with project deliverables
  • Be an evangelist for best testing and development practices using test environments and testing in production
  • Build tooling and infrastructure to measure and improve software quality

  •  More than 5 years of experience as a Software or Quality Engineer with coding skills in C#,
  • TypeScript, or Java (required)
  • Experience with testing frameworks such as NUnit, JUnit, Selenium
  • Understanding of SQL
  • High level of English
