Impala Terminals Group facilitates the global trade of commodities by offering producers and consumers reliable and efficient access to international markets. Through its network of more than 45 strategically located assets and operations in 29 countries, Impala provides critical storage and logistics infrastructure services to energy and dry bulk customers around the world. The company manages two global businesses – Impala Energy Infrastructure and Impala Dry Bulk & Logistics - and is a joint venture between one of the world’s largest commodity trading houses, Trafigura, and the global fund manager, IFM Investors. ITG is a Joint-Ventures between Trafigura and IFM investment fund, owning and operating various assets such as ports, terminals and multimodal logistics assets chains in export driven emerging markets for both liquid and dry cargos. It operates as well several assets (owned by Trafigura) under a management service.

We require an accomplished Business Analyst with in-depth experience of and a track record of success in managing complex software deployment projects, from inception through to delivery and post-deployment support. Within this role, the candidate will provide requirements capture and distilled business vision for multiple projects within the Organization in IT department acting as the key interface between the users and the project manager of the information gathered, documenting the processes and getting final confirmation on from the users.

To succeed in this role the candidate should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.
  • Performing requirements analysis.
  • Documenting and communicating the results of the efforts.
  • Effectively communicating insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management.
  • Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.
  • Providing leadership, training, coaching, and guidance to junior staff.
  • Ensuring solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Updating, implementing, and maintaining procedures.
  • Serving as a liaison between stakeholders and users.
  • Managing competing resources and priorities.
  • Monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely completion of projects.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client/vendors and all stakeholders
  • Comply with Impala Project Life Cycle standards, including the production and sign off of project documents and deliverables
  • Participate actively in multiple deployments

  • Experience of working with structured project governance
  • A bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
  • Excellent documentation skills.
  • Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
  • Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • A track record of following through on commitments.
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • A history of leading and supporting successful projects.
  • Project management skills and vendor management experience
  • Knowledge on the Fluvial industry will be considered as an advantage
  • Bilingual (High level of English) all documentation produced will be in English
