IT PROJECT MANAGER
CLOSED We require an accomplished Project Manager with in-depth experience of and a track record of success in managing complex software deployment projects, from inception through to delivery and post-deployment support. Within this role, the candidate will provide requirements capture and distilled business vision for multiple projects within the Organization in IT department, as well as managing expectations of the key business stakeholders and working closely with the Head of BackOffice IT for delivery of these projects.
Responsible for conducting large projects both in terms of deliverables, planning and controlling of activities,coordinate internal resources and third parties/suppliers for the flawless execution of projects, Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget, developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility, ensure resource availability and allocation developing a detailed project plan to track progress which complies with Impala Project Life Cycle standards,
including the production and sign off of project documents and deliverables. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
Key Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Identify and manage improvement IT projects
- Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Manage the relationship with the client/vendors and all stakeholders
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Manage project team, leading and supervising work execution.
- Produce regular (weekly) reports of issue status and plans and activities to manage
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop a detailed project plan to track progress
- Comply with Impala Project Life Cycle standards, including the production and sign off of project documents and deliverables
- Manage progress of deliverables assigned to the development teams / vendors.
- Participate actively in multiple deployments
- Experience of working with structured project governance
- Proven track record of project delivery
- Strong understanding of project management principles and status reporting.
- Educated to degree level in a numerate subject with strong IT background
- Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication (English and Spanish) skills are required.
- 4+ years of proven experience as Project Manager
- The candidate must have very strong analysis skills (i.e. gather requirements, ability to focus on the problem; eliminate non-relevant details; validate and communicate a simple solution) – for interviewer’s benefit - remove and excellent problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
- Project management skills and vendor management experience Knowledge on the Fluvial industry will be considered as an advantage
- Bilingual (High level of English) all documentation produced will be in English
