The VP of Operations is responsible for formulating an overall operations strategy for the company, including managing the operations team establishing policies and overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals, and assuring their completion while accomplishing your own goals. Duties for the VP of Operations will include allocating annual operations budget resources, formulating policies, coordinating business operations and implementations, monitoring and motivating staff, managing operational costs, ensuring high and the best customer service, improving administration and operational processes, defining actionable KPIs metrics to proactively formulate plans and implement changes, engaging with vendors, hiring, and training employees. (others) The goal of this role is to ensure the Operations team is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term company objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines.

Responsabilities: 

  • Oversee daily operations of the company
  • Partner internally with key stakeholders to resolve issues that arise throughout the implementation of products and services. Evaluate performance by analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
  • Proactively resolves broad operational issues and coordinates activities and processes with other business/operations segments
  • Drives process and control optimization in coordination within and across the team, specifically focusing on integration across the technology team
  • Advise senior management on related issues which impact customer satisfaction and provide an execute recommendations for appropriate actions
  • Develop and execute the company’s operational strategies to attain the goals of the Company
  • Prepare and implement comprehensive business plans to facilitate achievement by planning cost- effective operations and market development activities
  • Ensure company in compliance with policies, legal guidelines, external certifications, partners and clients SLA’s and are communicated all the way from the top down in the region and that they arefollowed at all times
  • Oversee and develop a strong team; ensure team learning and individual and team performance standards and accountability; provide frequent feedback to and support for the team
  • Supervise and conduct annual performance appraisals for the operations team
  • Ensure that support offices in the region comply with company and market standards.
  • Liaison with external partners to manage and operate efficiently settlements and reconciliations processes, Implementing a new back office system to manage the operations.

The successful candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business functions, operations, exceptional budgeting, and finance skills, and strong leadership qualities.

  • Deep commitment to the company’s core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners
  • Extensive operational understanding of end-to-end systems and processes. Recent experience in a business based on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products and services, fintech platforms, payment gateways, aggregators.
  • 5+ years of experience in technology business management, managing similar-sized organizations
  • A strong understanding of digital platforms & technology is essential, with experience on managing operations based on cloud based and on premise platforms
  • Proven ability to work across geographic and cultural boundaries, to work with complex customers, involving multiple stakeholders and potential partners/affiliates involved in the ecosystem
  • Demonstrated ability to execute on multiple competing long and short term priorities, often within tight time frames, prioritizing effectively and while managing key stakeholder expectations throughout.
  • Proven record of successfully managing long-term relationships with accounts at all organizational levels (C level, IT, Operational)
  • International experience
  • Fluency in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both languages
  • Prior experience and ability to manage a diverse team of staff. Excellent intercultural and interpersonal skills, including experience in working with different cultures.
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing and maintaining rigorous management discipline routines, processes, etc.
