SENIOR UX/UI DESIGNER
SUSPENDED Our designers are responsible for translating customer stories and requirements into functional and pleasing web and mobile application designs including wireframes, detailed views, workflows, high fidelity look and feel and animations. As a designer, you will work on one or more client projects as part of the team defining the features and look and feel of an application.
The ideal designer will work closely with our UX team to turn research, feedback and detailed wireframes into well-crafted interactions and elegant UI solutions. You will then collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that every part of the design is built to spec and aligns with the component libraries and also to refine those designs based on the capabilities and potential limitations of the actual software development process. Accuracy and attention to detail are key to being successful in this role. You should have experience working on complicated problems and a solid understanding of the complexities of responsive web design. We are a small (but growing!) design team and we each wear a bunch of hats - you should have a well- rounded toolkit and thrive on collaboration and complexity.
- Lead and define the UI design vision of the platform, product or service.
- Design and prototype elegant solutions for mobile and web applications.
- Work cross-functionally with Product and Engineering partners to represent the design team and facilitate design discussions.
- Identify user needs, sketch solutions with prototypes, test ideas with design researchers, and refine designs with data and user feedback.
- Deliver all visual design assets including pixel perfect comps, animation prototypes (when necessary) and fully articulated UI design specs to client, as well as the design, engineering, and product teams for review and feedback.
- Manage the design process and your own work from concept to completion.
- Manage and evolve our product style guide, including building and maintaining robust symbol libraries.
- Guide and improve the visual design process, establishing best practices and driving implementation with the UX, product and engineering teams.
- Work independently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Mentor junior Product Designers and oversee any freelance Production Designers.
